if they cant deliver next gen this year, they should had focused on pc only, and dealt with consoles later...but i guess the bribe they received from microsoft prevented that. also no news on free dlc....that we all know its just cosmetics and some vehicle no one will care.
edit: its been around 3hours since the anouncement and God of War is already in the top sales, and second global top seller in steam....you seeing that sony ? spider-man would double that, stop being selfish !

I really enjoyed God of War for the adventure and narrative. Its combat however just about maxes out what I can mentally handle in a game. I just can't handle the hectic stuff. The only thing I did not finish were the side realms which I was disappointed how small they seemed and how they were just basically an arena and horde levels. To me that cheapens the great story and lore of the main game. It doesn't make sense to my mind how you create a mysterious world with mysterious beings coming from beyond to attack it, unlock info on different beings in your compendium only to have two levels where they are then relegated to repeatedly spawned fodder for the arena and horde type game play of those levels. I hate that kind of thing. I wish developers and writers would strive to keep the mystique of it and find another way to handle it. They should have just added more story and real enemies for those realms. Even if they kept them as small as they were I'd prefer that story approach. To me that just book ends an excellent story adventure with overt, boring gaminess that cheapens the core of what you created.
I have to say I loved the Leviathan axe. That's some of the most satisfying melee combat I've experience in a game in a long time. I never played the previous games save for a failed attempt at GOW3 because it was just too chaotic and those games are even more action oriented.
I'd recommend this God of War though for those who like a strong narrative and semi-open world adventure.
Seems strange they are bringing all these exclusive PS games to PC. I still would like a straight port of RDR to PC.
I'd recommend all the Uncharted games too though Lost Legacy was my least favorite.
A game that truly deserves more attention in my opinion is The Order: 1886. Stellar game across the board and likewise deserving of a sequel. An amazing gem of a game in my opinion.

I'm confused. Why was an old post by Blade revived again and now it has a post date of "yesterday"?

This proved to be prescient thread.
As of a couple hours ago (as I post this):
Quote
Cyberpunk 2077 fixes and free DLC have all been delayed until 2022
An update to the Cyberpunk 2077 development roadmap has revealed that all "updates, improvements, and free DLCs" for Cyberpunk 2077 have now been pushed into 2022. The fixes and new content had previously been set to arrive before the end of 2021.
it comes on the heels of a tweet from CD Projekt last week saying that planned next-gen updates for Cyberpunk 2077 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that were expected to be out before the end of the year have also been pushed into 2022.
The Witcher 3 update (mostly graphics) is one I was waiting for -- but, not impatiently.

Once these updates and fixes are released I'll be reinstalling Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk.

those free dlc better be a side quest the size of a story quest, because if they are holding out this long to release cosmetics, they can Fiuyk. themselves

I envy those who Witcher 3 "clicked" for. I can never seem to play the game for more than a few days here or there and then I drop it for months.

You should never have to feel like you have to force yourself to like something. There's no right or wrong answer when it comes to whether or not a creative work "clicks" with you. It just either does or it doesn't.
I learned that lesson when there were some music albums that I felt I SHOULD like but even after I listened to them several times, they still didn't "click" with me.

I don't like KISS or the Grateful Dead, go figure. If the Witcher's not you cuppa, no worries. There's no accounting for taste. But I do understand where Blastman is coming from, because he sees all the praise and has to figure he's missing a great experience. But if it doesn't click what can you do?
In my case I loved it, and that's despite it being third person, which I don't care for. I actually played through the game nearly three times. The first was Sword and Story mode, but that was way too easy and I didn't get near the end before starting over in Blood and Broken Bones mode, which I finished, and then thought, that wasn't so bad, so I played through again in Death March or whatever it is called, and finished it again.
For me, it's one of the best games ever made, I liked so much about it, still do, even if I haven't played it in a long time. The thought comes fleeting through now and then and eventually it will lead to a reinstall. Every facet of game design shines in Witcher 3, in my opinion.
No, now go away or I shall taunt you a second time!

Yes. Taste/enjoyment is a personal thing. There are "no wrong answers or feelings", I think.
I have name brand games I've put over a 1000 hours into playing and modding (according to Steam). Some that only lasted 40 hours -- without finishing. Some that lasted an hour or so. A few in the "minutes" category
I've started CP2077 just two weeks ago, put very few hours in it.
Absolutley not grabbing me the same way Witcher 3 does, but then for that I was building on the lore of Witcher 2 and the books I had read.
With the delay of the updated W3 edition, CDPR is really getting on my bad side these days. Also with the way GOG starts treating the offline download customers as second class.

Since I just bought it on Steam sale, I noticed this article:
Quote
Cyberpunk 2077 rated 'very positive' by new user reviews
Since it went on sale for half-price in the Steam Autumn sale, messy open-world RPG Cyberpunk 2077 has been flooded with positive user reviews. It went from receiving just 78 thumbs-up on November 23, to 2,882 of them on November 24. The day after that 5,589 positive reviews were posted. At the same time, it's shot up the list of global top sellers and at the time of writing has the top spot.
Shot up the list because of the sale, I imagine.
I just started Assassin's Creed Valhalla -- so, I don't know when I'll start this one. An advantage (to me) of Cyberpunk 2077 (versus Valhalla) -- CP2077 seems more easily modifiable.
