What an incredible life this guy has had. Not only will he finally be in space for real after decades of acting/pretending to be in space he will also be the oldest person to do it.

Good for him. I've never been a fan, I find him annoying and never really saw his talent. But I did like him in the two Columbo episodes he did. But then I'm a massive Columbo fan and it probably reflects more on this than Shatner's portrayal.

But you're right, he's led an amazing life, and you have to hand it to him. To work alongside Heather Locklear at her hottest must have been exhilarating! smile

Sorry about that. I do however think of Shatner like I do Keith Richards. Both of them are immortal. biggrin

I felt the same way with the recent Clint Eastwood thread. Nooo...

Blue Origin hasn't gotten into orbit yet, so I'd say up and down.

I don't think so unless you mean actor in the gender sense. Didn't a Russian actress just go in to space?

Someone once said «for every cigarette you smoke, God takes an hour from your life and gives it to Keith Richards.»

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

That would certainly explain quite a lot.

If Shatner goes into space you know what this will mean? It's always the same old story. One anonymous crewman will be killed by a space monster. Shatner will then defeat the space monster with a makeshift weapon and afterward he will make love to the space monster's hot green wife. old_simmer

Cheers

They will be fine as long as the linoleum crystals don't overheat after Scotty makes them give all they got. biggrin
