I have been working on getting a horde of new Spitfire Mk.Vs released for CFS3 over at Sim Outhouse. We're up to 15 variants, and a total of 51 different liveries, and we're not quite done yet. Models by Steve Seybolt, paintwork by John Whelan, odds and ends by me. In relatively new features as far as CFS3 is concerned, these aircraft have clickable cockpits with detailed animations, and optional highly detailed systems modeling. Here's a few recent shots:

Thanks! Looks like all of those cockpit shots show a WIP version. The tweaks are minor, but here are some of the final version:

In that first pic, it looks like you are at about 95 degrees negative pitch! Coolness!

Well, what else would you do with a Spitfire! Also if you look carefully, you'll see an Fw 190 near the gunsight.

Can't help but ask gents - were there any incompatibilities importing those WOFF UE/PE-era terrains into CFS3.1? I'm guessing that the biggest problem would be airport tiles since the stock CFS3.1 terrains look horribly rough, as well as airports in CFS3.1. I'd be willing to give it a spin by loading up a JSGME-friendly install for myself, that injects WOFF UE/PE terrains into my CFS3.1 install -- but if it's a pain getting everything to blend nicely with airport tiles/terrains in CFS3.1 -- I might as well not bother with it then since I have WOTR installed anyway.

Cheers all and great pics. by the way,

I imported the WOTR scenery. Much easier than trying to get rid of the WWI Frontline. But it doesn't change the airbase tiles.

Superb Spits -like how the Soviet hand-me-down has the TR9D radio with 'pennant' and external aerial and no IFF wires to tailplane tips, nice attention to detail and lovely skins! CFS3 has never looked better or been better equipped!

As for terrain, my preference is what comes with the CFS3 BoB add-on. There is some visible tile repetition in some areas but overall I find it very realistic and the airfields are simply outstanding!

The modified stock terrain (?) that comes with the ETO Expansion is also pretty good IMHO.

Here are a few showing some of the damage effects that are part of the new Spitfires.

Note the oil streaming from the bullet hole in the oil cooler.

A flash fire of coolant following the pressurized coolant system being ruptured by hits to the radiator.
