I read there are various "happy" occurrences in our system, one is Jupiter being the system's hoover for errant bodies, and the other is our relatively large moon which does a similar job but closer in to Earth.

I had one of my telescopes out that night and looked at Jupiter, didn't catch this though, crazy odds to catch something like that.

I've had an airliner transit the moon while looking at it - that's pretty long odds but nothing compared to this - that guy should have bought a lottery ticket that night!
