OBD: Latest Development News, 18th August 2021

After the resounding success of Wings Over Flanders Fields Between Heaven & Hell II, we are now turning our attention to Wings Over The Reich.
We aim to bring to WOTR all the new features that have made BH&H II a critically acclaimed success. The brilliant revised Scenery, New High Resolution Maps,
Animations to bring more immersion to the feeling of flight, and in the cockpit, plus other features to be announced soon.

Brilliant Pol, looking forward to it.

Yes very good news Pol. I'm looking forward to the development of WOTR. Some more British aircraft to shoot down, the Blenheim and maybe the Short Sunderland or Whitley bomber. Then perhaps some more flyables, the 110 and the Stuka maybe.

So much potential! whoohoo

"A great deal of an aeroplane could be holed without affecting its ability to fly. Wings and fuselage could be—and often were—pierced in 50 places, missing the occupants by inches (blissfully unaware of how close it had come until they returned to base). Then the sailmaker would carefully cover each hole with a square inch of Irish linen frayed at the edges and with a brushful of dope make our aircraft 'serviceable' again within an hour."

No love for the Heinkels?
I'd feel too sad to shoot down a Sunderland gotta say.
Imagine a flyable one.

NR - I love them all! I'm just thinking what the devs might achieve in the first major update.

As for the Sunderland, they had quite a few around the coast so it would make sense. Quite a few of the early Luftwaffe aces knabbed one. You could throw the Defiant in there as well.

I do fancy the Stuka given the preponderance of attackable ground targets.

“For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day and went to the pub. It was a tough gig for the Lord. Motorhead performed and the brethren shaved their heads and spat as Lemmy the disciple sermonized on the evils of Disco and Rap and Kanye West. The Lord intervened and said unto Lemmy 'let there be rock.' And there was rock. And He said upon the brethren 'Let there be a WotR update'. The brethren were stunned into a drooling silence.'Yo' said one, with piercings in his brow. Then it shall be so said The Lord. And it was. 2 weeks."

Hallo @Pol,

only a short question:
Do you also work on a changed FM? I think about the 109, f.e. During fight the FM has a high level in my opinion. You must concentrate, work much with the flaps in the curves (maybe too much?) and handle all (engine, rudder) very sensitive. On the other side it is very easy to start and land.

And just let me remember on this:
https://SimHQ.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/4531881/fm-bf109-nose-moves-down-always#Post4531881

Thanks and Greetings!

Having to buy WOTR again, I wonder if this is going to be an UPDATE, or is it going to be WOTR II?

It's not WOTR II, it will be something that adds-on to WOTR. All details TBC.
