im still confuse, how to make ironmike multiskins work with GOG 1.28 ?
i copied all inside EAW folder but still nothing, in career or single nothing change.

You cannot

The eaw.exe is programmed to read and load skin files based on the names of the 3dz files . When we introduced multiskins the code-group's exe had to be modified with additional code to read the names of the multiskin files.


In one of the mustang multiskin folders there is a "PP51DF.3dz" file which 1.2 and the GoG versions are programmed to read.
There is also a "PP51D01F.3dz", and the "PP51D02F.3dz" ..........."PP51D15F.3dz" files which are the multiskin variations of the "PP51DF.3dz" file.
The 1.2 and the GoG versions are not programmed to read these additional 15 names.

The GoG version does not have this additional code. It is basically a nostalgia trip for people who had eaw V1.2 but could not run it on their newer PCs.

Do you know that Mr. Jelly has a revised EAW1.28 as UAW1.28?

That version should be able to run the multi-skins.

Is that the EAW with the different theaters like BOB,SWOTL ?? If so I would appreciate a link to that.I had it but when a hard drive died lost it

Have you still got a GoG installation?
What I made is a patch for it and not a standalone installation.

Yes Mike, i've try UAW1.28, 1.40, 1.60 as well but i don't know i feel im comfort with 1.28, it's simple & running smooth on my laptop even with huge air battle, full contrails and high res skins and effects. It's just that i feel those 1.40-1.60 running slow and bit laggy on my laptop

For multiskins to work you need an exe that can load planesets.
1.28 cannot load planesets.
the first one that did was 1.28e.
1.28e, 1.28f and 1.29 all use planesets with the 3dz files named using the old names (pp38h.....pv1v1), but 140, 150 and 160 have planesets with files named using the new names (plane).
