No harm, no foul. Scary for the recipient though. Worth knowing that major overdoses are not necessarily harmful. I would not be surprised if they were understating the potential consequences. Nurse mistakenly gives woman six doses of Pfizer vaccine
Washington Examiner May 11, 2021 9:40 AM ET
"This is something that should never happen," said Dr. Tommaso Bellandi, director of patient security for the northwest Tuscany health authority, according to CBS News. "Unfortunately, due to our limits as human beings, as well as organizational limits, these things can happen." The patient was kept under observation for about 24 hours in the hospital's emergency room and was given fluids and anti-inflammatory and fever medications. Dr. Antonella Vicenti, director of infectious diseases at Noa Hospital where the error occurred, said the patient is unlikely to experience any future side effects, citing studies that showed that people who had received up to five times the normal dosage didn't suffer any consequences.

Now they saying to wear a mask again. I think they should say this instead:
https://www.vox.com/2021/7/28/22594637/vaccine-mandates-covid-19-masks-delta-variants/quote] Or . . . we could say, if you are concerned about COVID, get the vaccine, if you are not, you accept the risk for yourself, and we all move on with life. Kids are going back to school in 2-3 weeks but kids under 12 can't get a vaccine. But they are required to go back to school unvaccinated and risk catching it? Kids 12 and under have statistically next to zero risk from COVID. If the concern is for their health, no reason to mandate either wearing masks or getting a COVID vaccine.

Man, right as I'm getting excited about returning to small-venue Rock shows, I'm reading in my local paper that we're going down the crapper again... ========== " Louisiana's largest standalone hospital reaches pandemic-high in COVID-19 hospitalizationsJul 29, 2021 - 10:55 am Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge admitted 30 patients with COVID-19 on Wednesday -- the single largest batch of hospitalizations the facility has experienced since the pandemic began." https://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/news/========== Dammit.

My wife is a pharmacist at a hospital and she recently told me they now have about 80 COVID patients.

Or . . . we could say, if you are concerned about COVID, get the vaccine, if you are not, you accept the risk for yourself, and we all move on with life. Agreed. "I'll take my chances" should include taking your chances dealing with the disease on your own!!!
SALUTE TO ALL!

Man, right as I'm getting excited about returning to small-venue Rock shows, I'm reading in my local paper that we're going down the crapper again... Probably not as much as me- it is my career-lighting op/tech in UK- officially the country is now allowed to do gigs, still another couple of weeks to my first 'proper' gig-been a crazy last month as events 'go away' and others pop up. The old adage "you didn't do the gig until the cheque clears" has never been truer.

Who's more cowardly - a vax dodger, a DRAFT dodger, or a MASK WHINER?
Because apparently these days getting a shot or wearing a mask is both more risky than going to war, AND more of a "Violation of My Constitutional Rights"...
I do get vaccine hesitancy, especially without full FDA approval. I myself hesitated until just last month over that. But when I saw that half of America had got it, and that 95+% of hospitalizations and deaths were now among the unvaccinated I realized it was time for me to stop being a COWARD about it.
The same people who fear the vax so much are the same people who'll label a draft dodger a coward.
So what's THEIR excuse with THIS?
Do they really think going to war is less risky???
I do not blame those who refused to be vaccinated, nor consider them cowards or traitors. Consider that... For four years they were lied to, nonstop by the media, their Congressional representatives, tech corporations and public servants about their President. For the last year they were lied to, nonstop, about treatments, origins, efficacies, masks and more. Only to see the tune change at regime change. Why should they trust anyone? The average person might not be that smart, but they do possess common sense, and the ability to sniff out liars. That they refuse to be vaccinated is not on them, but on the media, the tech corporations and the Congress. This is their disaster that they created, not one that the people are spreading because "conspiracy theory" or ignorance. They frankly don't know what to believe anymore because their trust in the system has been destroyed. I say this having been vaccinated myself. This is a personal decision, not one you get to demand someone obey and do as you insist. And if they do not, you do not get to look down upon them and hold your nose high. Consider why they have chosen their choice, instead, and look for the real truths rather than slap a quick label on them.

Ok, this is getting a bit too political.
Talk COVID and try to leave the politics out of it.
Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

When I got my first Moderna shot, my arm was sore for a few days, and I was a little tired for about a day, but that was it. Second shot was similar, but not quite as bad. For reference, about a week ago, I got a shingles vaccine shot, and it was a little worse than the Moderna shots, so I don't think there's a lot of difference between the COVID vaccines and other similar types of vaccines, and it just affects different people differently.
