After the Colonial Marines debacle I'll wait on the reviews first before I make a buying decision.

Aside from that, it will also depende on the price tag for me. If there going for a triple A price tag circa 50-60 bucks, they can forget about me for sure.

I'll pay 60 bucks IF the game gets great reviews and it has a full-blown cooperative MP mode.

I like Aliens games (even if Alien Isolation freaked me out too much to complete it) but 3rd person? Always a no from me

Yeah I don't really like 3rd person but if all of the other aspects of the game are very well done then I can let it slide.


I did manage to finish "Alien Isolation" but I was huge ball of stress during the entire experience. LOL

That's exactly how I feel too. I'm glad I didn't miss a game as great as Witcher 3, so it's good to make exceptions, but in general I avoid third person games, and even the ones I get suffer from it. For example two games that I bought and really wanted to like, but yet didn't like playing in third person, were Greedfall and Dark Arisen. There have been others. For me it is a matter of becoming my character versus controlling my character. I hate the word 'immersion' as it is over-, and mis-used so often, but really that's what it comes down to.

Two games that stand as prime examples are GTA 5 and RDR 2, which allow both third and first person play. The difference in my perception of these games, and how much in to them I get is directly linked to which mode I would play in. Of course I 'only' play in first (except on horseback), but have tried both and the difference is striking in how I perceive the games in each mode.
