When I did my 20,000km/12,000mi 6 week cross country trip in 2000, the first few days were sort of uncomfortable being in the saddle for 3-400mi. As the trip progressed it became much better. The longest distance travelled in one day was from south of Winnipeg to Calgary, about 800 mi. The bike was a brand new H-D FXST. Unless absolutely necessary, all riding was on 2 lane roads.
There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB. The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed. There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.
And, just for the record - this 2016 Ural Retro that I've had since new has been pretty reliable. It's old-school tech, with some modern conveniences (EFI, disk brakes, as well as an electric starter)
