After the acquisition of 21st Century Fox by The Walt Disney Company, it was officially confirmed at the 2019 CinemaCon that future Alien films are in development. In May 2019, Variety reported that the third prequel film was "in the script phase", with Ridley Scott attached to serve once again as director. In September 2020, Scott confirmed that work on the next instalment is ongoing, but was undecided with keeping it tied in with the plot set out in Prometheus and Alien: Covenant.
Please fire Scott. This is better:

Sigourney Weaver has expressed her interest in returning to the role of Ripley with Neill Blomkamp's story (purportedly titled Alien: Awakening) which would tie into the first two Alien films by taking place after Aliens and foregoing involvement with the other two sequels. This was canceled in favor of Scott's own untitled third prequel (also purportedly titled Alien: Awakening), which was later also canceled following the disappointing box office results of Alien: Covenant.
In February 2019, James Cameron stated that he was working on reviving Blomkamp's project. In June 2020, Brandywine Productions revealed that a screenplay for a new installment in the original series called "Alien V", centered around Ripley, had been written by Walter Hill and David Giler.

Prometheus had a very good box office performance but there's no doubt that the movie had some major script problems. Covenant didn't do nearly as well at the box office.
If you ask me, this franchise just needs to be retired. I think everything that can be milked financially from this franchise has already been done.

You need to be able to tell the difference between a movie that is intentionally made to be absurd and silly and a movie that was made with the intent of quality.
For example, "Jupiter Ascending" is one such film where there was a real attempt at making a good film but it failed miserably. I find those cases to be much more interesting than films like the one you posted.

I was looking at the list of 2022 movies and it does not look good.
Among the passable are Batman and Sherlock Holmes R. Downy and Jude Law. Maybe the Hocus Pocus 2 a take off of the Cult Classic. Among the avoid list is Linsay Lohan's Christmas

I'll wait to see "Black Widow" on streaming. I'm just overall burned out on the whole comic book/super hero genre and it's not worth it for me to make a trip out to the theater.

I'm glad to see that he's won his fight against cancer. Hopefully it won't return.

General Bradley, Army Corps General, will give direct order to a Navy crew? Does it happen? Shouldn't he be passing it on to someone representing the Navy and had them pass the order on to the Navy crew?
