OMG I did exactly the same thing last night, flew through the live weather in a DC-6. I enjoyed taking off outside the bad weather, flying toward it & seeing it loom ahead, then flying through it. Didn't grab any screenies though, here are a few from the night before that, I think in the central European region, flying south out of Prague:

Well, I'm sure that your passengers didn't appreciate that at all! Of course, my crew was trained for it. Hate to be the guy who had to clean those DC-6 seat.
Your shots are a whole lot more colorful than mine. I'll try it again at sunset and see what I get. I'm near Orlando and we're starting to feel the effects of the real one. Lotsa rain.
