Hi Guys,

I want to share my pit project that I started 7 months (end of 2020) ago with cheap stuff but the final look is impressive. (I think)
here is some pictures from the beginning. My project started as a gaming chair then evolved quickly to a full pit!

then I added some panels and controls using switches from ebay and binders as the panel itself. Its easy to cut and pierce to install switches lights and other controls.

A few weeks later,
the chair evolved with speakers on the top and sub-woofer at the bottom to have full sounds immersion.
It is important to have a powerful sounds generator (amp) so the low frequencies are felt as vibrations throughout the pit.

Early 2021,

I extended the chair to have the legs room to install the rudder pedals.
This thing is starting to look like a cockpit now.

I installed an infra red frame to convert my regular old pc monitor to a touch screen monitor. it works well!

then come May 2021, I finally installed the front panel with monitor and Fa/18 side panels.
I started out to display a picture of a Fa/18 cockpit from DCS sim while I gave instruction to my expert friend to build a flexible webpage where I can put more cockpit simulation images
and videos. Playing Ace combat 7 with my pit is simply awesome, the sounds and vibration make you 'feel' all the noise and explosions!

hi guys, I forgot to tell you
What's make it great is that I also built a projector stand with telescopic arm (all with PVS pipe) so I can place the projection exactly where I want it and the image
is full HD projected on a wall. the image projected is about 7 feet by 4 feet.

Hi,

That sir is great work !! Well done.

Unfortunately, it will soon not be enough and you'll start wanting to improve on it ( that's what happened to me . . . )

Keep up the good work and post more photos as it changes to keep us up to date.

Cheers,

Andy
