Ok I used to have this game on the old CFS 3 disc set then a OLD download. Broke down bought the new WOFF and doing a campaign. I am in a Bristol Scout I searched high and low internet this form. I looked at the keyboard command bindings reload selected gun says #%&*$# + J... Does not reload the Lewis Gun on this bird. Tried more than once, found reference to CNRL SHIFT G but that did nothing also.

Not to sure how many on this form still obviously I am an old timer.

Thank you!

Forgot to mention upper right says 4 extra drums for the Lewis Gun that clears the propeller. Such a strange way to aim but I just emptied another drum and only hit 4 times REAL #%&*$# at that angle!

Welcome back, we have come along way wink

Make sure you have the keys assigned in the .xca seems some people do not.

The WOFF BH&H II FAQ goes over it.

About 1/.3 down the page here goes over which keys..

and the FAQ is there above it,

Hey Buddy now there is a Name / Blast from the past. I used to frequent IL2 forms back in the day!

I have tried this but will try again!

To reload;
CTRL+G = Lower Lewis Gun (hold down both keys until Lewis is fully lowered) Now you can reload.
CTRL+SHIFT+G = Reload Lewis Gun (reload sound is heard, ammo count increases to a drum capacity)
SHIFT+G = Raise Lewis Gun (hold down both keys until Lewis is fully raised)

This is all good also.

<Key ID="J" Action="ObserverUI" FriendlyDesc="Camera View" Category="ViewControl" P4Use="y"/>
and then directly underneath add the following
<Key ID="G" Mod="Control" Action="SPOILERS_ARM_ON" FriendlyDesc="Lower Lewis Gun" Category="WeaponControl" P4Use="y"/>
<Key ID="G" Mod="Shift" Action="SPOILERS_ARM_OFF" FriendlyDesc="Raise Lewis Gun" Category="WeaponControl" P4Use="y"/>
<Key ID="G" Mod="Control+Shift" Action="SPOILERS_ARM_SET" FriendlyDesc="Reload Lewis Gun" Category="WeaponControl" P4Use="y"/>

Some of us are getting long in the tooth!

Scout reload works fine here.

Doesn't work still? Check the .xca doesn't have other keys bound to "G" elsewhere ?4

Scout has no foster mount, so just press Shift+Ctrl+G all together of course, to reload.

Make sure you have not jammed the gun.

No go. Thought it was my ATI software that was in the way so I disabled all that stuff. I see it in the .xca but I do not see it in the in game keyboard bindings.

I do not get it.......... Thanks for checking!

You may need to do a complete reinstall. If you had a previous version of WOFF, you may not get the new key strokes. Please see here.

The older I get, the more I realize I don't need to be Han, Luke or Leia. I'm just happy to be rebel scum...

Well I guess I must have had old puppy dog tracks from the last install. Using the tool to uninstall it then reinstalled it worked.

Thank you all!

Glad you are back in the game. Although if you were really cool, you'd be able to shoot them all down with only one drum! Took me a month to even notice I had that problem! duck rofl
