A new, sequel/prequel to Project IGI is forthcoming. I stumbled onto a Steam page for it last year I think but when I saw what little info there was on it as well as a simultaneous game the developers were making, I got the feeling that perhaps it would end up being just a quick, mediocre rehash budget level game that was being thrown together by whomever owns the rights to IGI now. However, I just saw a new to me developer commentary video talking about it and it now has me hopeful that they may just end up doing something special here and do the original game justice. The production quality of the developer commentary video and the official trailer makes it appear as though they are taking it serious and that they are making a sincere effort to make a good game. It looks like they may have snuck in some game play footage at 42 seconds on the game trailer video though I'm not certain of it. I loved Project IGI and these teasers have me intrigued. I hope they pull it off. Good military stealth shooters seem too few and far between in recent years. It also seems surprising that we have not seen another Splinter Cell. I'd sure like to see another Splinter Cell with Michael Ironside and for them to go back to the earlier recipe and spirit of the first three games and make it a good one. Blacklist was okay but it was no Chaos Theory.

I played the hell out of the original back in the day even though had to lower graphic settings on my PC. That first mission on the camp in the desert was so good.

Looks good! I also enjoyed the first two games immensely.

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

Its been a long time but I remember really liking the third person camera change when you climb a fence, zip-line or work at a computer. I also remember how important your shots were because you'd never want to let an enemy set off those alarms. I'm excited to see a next generation Project IGI. I'd love to see an option for a full third person camera. Maybe have a classic setting where it goes third person only for certain activities but then have an option to switch at any time between first and third person. That would be quite a task though I would think because many shooters are either one or the other and rarely do those that implement both get each perspective looking and feeling right.

i wish someone would make a new no one lives forever and release it like fuk it , so the secret owners of the ip come out of the woodwork since no one can find them to make a new game. as soon as someone remotely involved see they are losing money because someone is breaching their long forgotten ip they will show up with a dusted copy in hand.
