They didn't violate space as she was using a recognised sea lane.
RN vessels regularly call into Ukraine ports, indeed a recent deal to help rebuild the Ukrainian Navy had just been signed on Defender https://www.defensenews.com/global/...-babcock-to-help-beef-up-ukraines-navy/.
Ukraine wants to join NATO.

from what i read that is a sea lane for comercial ships, im ignorant to naval regulations though, but i guess that doesnt work for warships ? kinda like subs cant operate some certain distance from the shore maybe.

Innocent passage."the overall language of the LOSC in the context of its negotiation history and customary international law all make it clear that warships enjoy the right of innocent passage on an unimpeded and unannounced basis. " https://sites.tufts.edu/lawofthesea/chapter-three/
Subs are allowed but not submerged. The Russian Navy themselves regularly make use of the right of innocent passage in the English Channel.

The Russians still at it. https://www.reuters.com/world/europ...s-harassed-frigate-black-sea-2021-06-29/

I think you are grasping.

Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.

Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.
