It's a great game. I bought it shortly after initial release back in 2013 and I have about 600 hours in it so far according to the Steam tracker.

No you can't. I recall that in Supreme Commander 2 you could zoom out to a strategic view of the battle map while in COH 2 you can only zoom out slightly. It's not even enough to be able to view all the units on the map at the same time.

Little bit of trivia concerning COH 2:
The game was initially banned in Russia due to the less than flattering portrayal of Russian commanders and tactics in the main campaign game.

I still have not completed the Ardennes campaign, on my fourth attempt this weekend.
There is one town's mission that will have air support, fallshirmjagers...and a wonderful bonus of at least one King Tiger, a Panther and a waves of German aircraft that destroy everything you build. Find this place and attack it as early in the campaign as possible. Last try I waited until it had 4 Iron Cross strength and it was bloody murder. Strength down to zero, no resources.
I literally fought to the death on my base.
Sorry about how dark it is, my world was on fire.
I got it early this time around, only two Iron cross strength. Used my airborne company. Killed the King Tiger who was raping my troops while we tried to destroy the last CP objective, FINALLY after two P47 rocket attacks, a P47 strafing run and NUMEROUS bazooka and AT gun hits. TOO UBER!
Hopefully will win it this weekend.
