I agree, the new weather tech is simply amazing and has improved the experience tenfold. That it comes with barely any performance hit is also amazing, even if you think its because the old cloud system was woefully implemented The thing that really amazes me though is the level of MP synchronisation. The clouds aren't merely similar, they're pretty identical. Look up the Growling Sidewinder video that compares screenshots from different MP clients: https://youtu.be/Me0PCIS7Ms4?t=86

It looks real, simple as that. Com0letely photo-realistic. I’ve burst through a couple of cloud covers over 5000 hours of flying, and that there looks exactly like the real thing.
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

Wow, that looks amazing.
When does the dynamic campaign come out so I can dig into DCS again? Not soon enough.

When does the dynamic campaign come out so I can dig into DCS again? Look into the Liberation campaign I think I will, that looks good. I'd like to see a Quick Mission Builder as I don't have the patience for longer flights/missions
And with all the choice of aircraft, weapons, weather it could be a lot of fun for quick flights There's a create fast ;mission option on the main menu that throws a quick mission together for you. They're usually short with not much of flying. You can also go to the advanced settings for it and customize a few more parameters. It can also be saved and edited further with the full editor.

The fun in when I start my F-14 on the deck, after asking ground to connect ground power and air start units, which they answer to, when my RIO warns me before closing the canopy, when I hear him moving his switches while I move mine, when he tells me he's ready to taxi and I close in cat n°1 while my RIO goes to n°2, when those yellow shirts guide me into position and instruc me to lower my launch bar, then retract it while I'm hooked, when tell me to aplly power and I salute them while the green and white shirts give the go sign to the yellow shirt, when said yellow shirt knees and do the shoot sign, when I roll on the deck and get airborne, when I ask my RIO to change datalink and radio to awacs and I immediatly get ennemy contact reports, bullseyes position for now and no BRA so I don't need to fence in just yet, when I climb through the most beautiful clouds in any sim bar FS2020, when my wings start to fold back while I'm gaining speed, when ennemy EWRs start to light me up and I get new ennemy reports from AWACS, when those hornets we're supposed to escort warn on package radio they pass the RV point, when AWACS start to give me BRAs on bogeys and datalink corners start to appear on my TID repeater while I ready the missiles, when my RIO starts to get radar contact on those bogeys and they get their threat priority number on the TID, when I unleash the Phoenixes on them while asking wingman to do the same, when some 54s hit, some miss, when the ennemy retreats and I start the chase, only to enter SAM enveloppe and RWR looks like a Christmas tree, when I have to retreat because SAMs shoot me, when I realize I didn't set a realistic bingo and I have to refuel, when I contact a viking and it starts coming to my rescue, when I slide my probe into the basket and fill my thirsty Tomcat, when I leave the viking and lit up the burners just for the show, when I asked carrier to turn into the wind while I start my cat3 approach through the clouds while communicating the steps to the carrier, when I finnaly punch through and the IlS has got me perfectly aligned with a centered meatball, when I botch up the touchdown and my RIO says "not so bad, second wire", when I leave the landing area and fold up fully my wings while I taxi to the side of the deck to turn off the systems and watch the others trap, when I read the debrief and see all the action I missed while I was quite busy myself, when sometimes we debrief with my human RIO. When I generate the next campaign mission and see how much we progressed towards completion of the campaign during last one. THERE is my fun, and if all those Migs Sukhois and SAMs shooting at me were civilians as some may think, I'll treat them as ennemies anyway.
