Definitely recommend Larry Forrester's Tuck biography, 'Fly for your Life' which recounts with surprising frankness several other darker incidents from Tuck's career, like when he was on the point of shooting two sergeant pilots from 257 who displayed 'one-oh-nine-itis' and broke away before combat.
I really quite despise when you 'highly' or 'definitely' recommend books because that means I usually end up buying them to supply my ongoing reading selection.

Fly for your Life' in very good shape from jolly old England and it just arrived on Thursday. It is several books down on my next book to read list. I am in the middle of reading
The Nieuport 28, America's First Fighter by Theodore Hamady and it is a real gem. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you are interested in the Nieuport 28C.1
