So far it seems the allied AI hasn't improved. They'll still shoot friendlies and stomp over protection targets and if given a command to engage a target will try to close the the range of the shortest weapons. That tends to be bad for LRM boats that then try to get in knife fight range to use small guns and lasers. You can work around all that by being careful which orders you give to who, it just makes things a bit more tedious than they need to be.

Is that with the DLC? I ask because it was said that the DLC fixed alot of AI issues, and because I don´t have the DLC.

Thanks for your reply, no worries It´s just that as I stated above, they said that the DLC fixed some issues so I was wondering if that applied to your comment about the squad AI etc.

I would assume that an AI update like that would just get patched in and not locked behind a DLC. Although, now that I think about it, that's kinda par for game development these days.
Well, I finally grabbed the base game for $30 last week. My wife and kids were out of town, so I got in like 16 hours of playing over the weekend. That's saying something about this game, as I hardly spend any time playing video games any more. I've been having a blast playing. The single player experience is so much more fun to me compared to the meta-insta-core MWO experience. Been having lots of fun in the Hunchback 4G and Gridiron I've picked up, with the Cent and some Shadowhawks thrown in. Looking forward to getting into some heavies hopefully soon...
Has anything been said about if/when they'll add clans to the game?
I've been playing it a bit with the new expansion. Some of the AI issues are fixed. They use jump jets more and they don't friendly fire hardly at all. They still need to be micro managed and if you tell one n to attack, despite the mech or loadout, they will close to the range of the shortest range weapon.
Another thing they changed is, enemies don't spawn in as close, but farther away than they use to. Unless I'm misremembering things, I swear the balance has been thrown out the window. The tonnage limit they give you compared to what you're up against is total BS.
