Been awhile since I've done any simming. Bought Arma 3 about 3 years ago and just got around to trying it. Had fun getting shot up last night online on a pub server, but there were only a couple I could join. Seems I don't have all of the DLC, just 5/10 of them. If I get the Essentials Bundle, will that open up more servers that I can play in? The Ultimate Edition has Contact, but is that needed for multiplayer servers?
I'm currently missing : Laws of War, Jets, Tac-Ops Mission Pack, Tanks, and Contact.
Any I don't need, or should I just grab it all?
Figured since this is the premier Sim site, I should ask here. Thanks for any info or tips.

If you were to consider playing here, we have around 40GB of addons (yes, i know, it's a lot). Plus we use the Apex, Global Mobilization, Contact, and Prairie Fire DLCs. The other ones, like tanks, jets, etc are not required for our server.
It's difficult to tell you what is required for a public server, because each host has different requirements on what they use.

I wound up buying the Essentials bundle which had the remaing BI DLC except for Contact one, will see about purchasing Global Mobilization and Prairie Fire in the next day or two. My brother and I have been play on our own private server trying to get the hang of it and all of the controls. May try to see if he wants to try a pub server with me tonight with real humans.

I'm still practicing and will eventually try to join you on your Military Monday sessions once I get a bit more familiar with the controls and such. I have a question about joystick setup that I can't find any info about online, wondering if anyone here has any input. When configuring controllers, for me under (Customize Controller) CH Fighterstick USB, there are 3 slope graphs at the top of the page that don't seem to do anything. Is there a way to enable them or are they just for show? Have set up my Track IR 5 and my CH stick and pedals, and am trying to fine tune my throttle atm to be able to land better.
EDIT: Figured it out with help from my brother. Those graphs apparently just show the correlation as to how you have the sliders set whether to the left, center, or right. Boy do I feel dumb, but getting smarter.
