The theatre you fly in is usually a 640 x 320 tile-map, and the wall is like a fence inside it 32 miles from the edge. When you hit it you stay where you are.

There is a dreadful hack by TK in EAW1.2 because the EAW wall prevented users from flying to Brest.
The hack was to prevent target zero from being used. I described it as dreadful because although it excluded Brest in the ETO theatre, it also excluded target zero in all other theatres, even if they were inside the wall.

Moggy wondered if I could vary the 32 mile distance in UAW 160 and I have been able to smile

Sweep to Brest
The wall is set to 100 miles:

My plane is static as it has hit the wall.

A second attempt with the wall set to zero:

I have gone beyond Brest to the edge of the tile-map.

The new exes read the wall distance from an external file.
If there is none in the theatre folder, or in the root folder then the default distance of 32 miles is used.

If you need further experimentation, there is an Italian target in ETO2015 that sits inside the wall by about 30 miles or so.

Heck, even paranoids have enemies.
