I have made an ETO plane-set with Crashin' Jack's Hi-Res cockpits, as I have just got them working in multiplayer as well as instant and single missions.

UAW160 Hi-Res cockpit patch May 21st 2021

It is a 7-zip self installer.

Before you download it if you have a "Planes_ETO" folder then re-name it.

The file that you download is named "HiResPits.exe" and you run it in your UAW160 folder.
It will add a "Planes_ETO" folder and the "NewDSP2021.exe"
It will put an "EAW default" folder and an "EAW default HiResPits" folder in your "PlaneSets" folder
It will put the "May21st New Map.exe" and the "May 15th Cockpit test (OldMap).exe" files in your "EAW Versions" folder.

When it has been installed run the "NewDSP2021.exe", select the "Default European Theatre", the "May21st New Map.exe" and the "EAW default HiResPits" plane-set.


You should be able to fly the the Hurri, the three Spits, the Tiffy and the Tempest with the new 'pits, and any other plane with the old 'pits.

Just to elaborate the new DirSetPicker creates a "HiResPit.mpf" file in the root folder each time the user selects a plane-set.
When the user flies a single, an instant or a multiplayer mission the new "EAW.exe" reads this file to find out if the player's plane has a Hi-Res cockpit or not, and runs the appropriate loading routine.
This is why the "NewDSP2021.exe" must be used, and why the "May21st New Map.exe" is recommended.
The "May 15th Cockpit test (OldMap).exe" can be used for single and instant missions, but it will crash in multiplayer.
We do not use the old map exes for multiplayer as we need the "zoom map" in our games

We encountered a glitch when we flew at GameRanger last night. The problem has now been fixed, so there are three new exes to download

Run the downloaded file in your UAW160 folder and they will be added to the "EAW Versions" folder.

Love the hi res cockpits but when I run EAW default HiResPits"i lose the detailed pilots map???
