The Collings Foundation held a tank demo at their amazing American Heritage Museum in Hudson, Massachusetts on Saturday and Sunday May 15 and 16, 2021.
Rides and driving experiences were available in their M4 Shermans, M24 Chaffee, and the Stug. Also on display for the first time was their newly acquired and exceedingly rare Panzer 1.

It was a beautiful day for a war demo:

The Sherman kicks up some dirt:

As does the Chaffee:

The Stuart light tank:

A new addition to the museum. The plaque reads in part:
"This P-40B is the sole surviving fighter in existance from the December 7th, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. The aircraft was based at Wheeler Field which was a primary target, and was on jacks in a hangar at the time."

There is much much more at this museum which features the Jacques Littlefield Armor collection including a Panther tank, T-34s, an M1 Abrams, and even a Scud missile and carrier.

Hi Docjonel, looks like you had a great day out - thanks for sharing. The Panzer I looks especially nice!

BTW, the Stug III is actually an FV432 'hack' i.e. a British cold war era APC that's been chopped up and re-built to look the part. The living history groups in the UK have quite a few of them.

FV432 as it's supposed to be:

..and after it's been Stug-ified:

.. and another that's been given the early Panzer III treatment (I think the turret is fixed):

They add an third track return roller to give it that extra bit of authenticity (a Stug / Panzer III has 3 but an FV432 ordinarily has 2).

PS/. There's a guy who specialises in carrying out these conversions that posts on YouTube (can't remember his Channel name but I'm sure a quick search will find him smile

They have a Panzer I at the Tank Museum in Bovington - unlike the pristine turreted model at the Collings Foundation, theirs is a rather beaten up command variant:

You can see at least four shell penetrations.

The museum has included it in their 'Tank Chat' series on YouTube:

Enjoy smile

Hi Chucky, in deed it is. You look older in your photo .. hahaha

Been super busy with work for last two years or so, but I've decided to quit the rat race at the end of June and become a gentleman of leisure. So hope to be a lot more active biggrin
