Is this approach valid for original games, DVD and perhaps GOG, or otherwise? Or is this technique limited to other versions of the game?

Ok, you are unnecessarily escalating the animosity. Stop it now or I will.

So, I just ran a test, using fresh installs of 1.2, 1.26, 1.28e, and 160. I deleted the ini in all cases. I started the game, and in ALL instances got a P-51 for the instant mission. It's coded in to the exe, the info is held in the ini. It's always been this way, and has never changed. If you use an ini from a different version and it doesn't work, delete it and make a new one. Easy as pie.
Cheers,
CJ

Ok, you are unnecessarily escalating the animosity. Stop it now or I will. Rather doubt that either participant was antagonistic. More likely that comments were mis-understood.

Jel, So you deleted all your posts and moved the original post to the 160 sub forum, to avoid the questions and the error you have in 160.
Pretty lame. How do you mis-understand this? The original post that started this thread was helpful to all EAW players. It could have been left as it was with no comment. A possible problem with UAW160 was raised, and the comments deteriorated. So I moved it to the 160 forum. Under the "armistice" after the creation of the two sub-forums VBH, MarkEAW and co are not supposed to post in the 160+ section. Conversely code group members are not supposed to post in the EAWPRO section. I don’t think Mark is specifically tied to the AAWPRO development. I think that is solely VBH’s system. I don’t believe Mark has any development role there.Hence I moved the original post to the 160+ sub-forum to avoid the thread being diluted by the type of comments that MarkEAW made. Mark has posted in the 160+ section, thereby breaking the armistice. The issue is "the error you have in 160" which does not exist, and therefore does not need to be fixed.None of the code group members have posted in the EAWPRO sub-forum. Has Mark made it open season again? There is no open season by anyone for anyone. Any instance of uncivil behavior needs to be reported and let me deal with it.

The term "pretty lame" was not misunderstood.

Ok, it has been addressed. Let’s put it down and proceed.

WTH you talking about, I'm not regulated to not post in the 160 sub forum, that's perhaps your wishful thinking. The truth is hat forum division has nothing to do with me. I think you hit your head on something. That had all to do with how you treated VBH, just like you treat me, terrible. Your a little, or more like a lot too touchy. You can dish crap out, however you can't take it though, even if its good spirited. Alright, I said stop it. That was unnecessary.
As far as the instant mission thread. I thought we where having a decent conversation about a issue you where having with 160, next thing I know, your calling in a moderator and jump ship with all your posts. You are mischaracterizing what happened.I had said stop it or I would. So I am. Take a two week suspension and come back in a more congenial state of mind.

The separation of the two systems was to keep posters from using either one as a method to criticize each system and get wrapped up in comparisons that only led to animosity.
It was never intended that people could not post in the other sub forum. It was only meant to keep each sub forum focused on that system alone.
People can post where they wish as long as in each sub forum the posts are focused on that system and not to mix them. Both sub forums hopefully could be civilI was hoping that would keep the bitter arguments from spilling into every thread. It was never meant to make fences to keep anyone corralled in or out of a sub forum.
Keep the issues of each sub forum restricted to that sub forum. Don’t mix the two. Keep comments about either of the sub forums out of the one not meant for it.
In the future I will eliminate any reference to either sub forum outside of its correct forum.
I was hoping people could do that themselves.
It isn’t that difficult or complicated. But if necessary I will put up a fence that will establish no cross sub forum posting at all. If that is preferred let me know in PM and I will take it under consideration.
