Try saving a back-up of your EECH.ini while not deleting it, delete the separate config file, and run the sim to see if available resolutions change. Copy back or rename the EECH.ini so you get that back to the ini version prior to this. This worked for me to get back ultra widescreen after finally updating my GFX drivers.

The TWCS isn't bad (I own two of them by myself which are meant for modding projects), the only drawback is the stickiness of the throttle slider, which can easily be fixed with silcon grease (Nyogel 767A or something comparable).

A throttle and pedals makes really a difference in flying and especially when flying helos. You could also use them for all other games like space simulations etc. And those HOTAS gear will last for years if you maintain them from time to time. I have still old gameport HOTAS (TM FLCS,TQS, RCS) etc. which are in perfect condition since years, but cause of USB obsolete. I have converted some of them to USB and some are sitting in the cabinet, waiting for new projects biggrin .

I did want to get a TWCS, but as you say, the price has sky rocketed. I had the FLY5 stick in storage while I moved house, and it works well enough to use as pseudo HOTAS. My son has also got into playing MSFS, and really enjoys it. When the price comes down again, I might try to get some better gear.

Can you get full resolution in 1.15.2? I wondered if it was a limit in the code.

I've got 1.16.2 and 1.15.2 installed, and use the allmods app to launch them. But I think I'll uninstall them, and just install 1.15.2 on its own and see how it goes.

I haven't used 1.15 since I first updated to 1.16. I last tried 1.4.1c just before reinstalling 1.16.2 recently and that definitely didn't do advanced resolutions stuff.

I'm running vanilla 1.15.0 now, and the highest resolution is 1280x1024, which doesn't fill my monitor, so I'm using 1280x720.

I'm going to play a campaign in this version for a while and see how it feels, then I'll try again on 1.15.2

I'm pretty sure some version of 1.15 could do 1080p. That's what I was using prior to updating to 1.16. Again, try deleting the game.cfg configuration file; just make sure you back up your EECH.ini, because when you run the sim again it's going to alter it when it generates another configuration file. Not sure why.
When I changed stuff on my computer in the last week or two, I had limited resolutions until I tried that.

I've tried that, it's the first thing I did.

Only thing I've not tried is setting which GPU it's using. I've a Ryzen5 and Nvidia GTX1650ti, so I think it might be using the Ryzen, though I don't think it'll make a difference.

I've got it working now. Deleting game.cfg reset the resolution back to default, but the max resolution was still 1280 x 1024. When I deleted the players.bin files, then I can now select higher resolutions.

Interesting. I don't think I deleted the players.bin files, but I've just recently reinstalled EECH 1 to try and resolve my own glitches, so I probably didn't have any that were old.

It has to have some differential feedback in order to work without over shooting the goal all the time. I can now put my helo into Altitude Lock, focus on my targeting screens, and use the equipment like it was meant to be used without crashing into the ground. Just my 2 cents worth.

You did a great job with the attitude hold system, though I do notice torque issues now in non-stable hover mode.
