Very long, have only watched about 8 minutes so far.

Amazing history IMO.

Look for me on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or Tic Toc...or anywhere you may frequent, besides SimHq, on the Global Scam Net. Aka, the internet.
I am not there, never have been or ever will be, but the fruitless search may be more gratifying then the "content" you might otherwise be exposed to.

Thanks Nixer. I've recently been reading first hand accounts of soldiers who fought in WW1 (both sides) so I'll watch this for sure.

The first few minutes resonate with us.
On disembarkation, my wife's paternal Grandfather, a newly commissioned subaltern was hit in the face by a wildly swing load such as the limber shown. He was therefore excused frontline duties due to severe dental injuries sustained, became a 'base wallah', administering the light railways laid for supplying logistics and materiel to the front, which may have saved him from a grimmer ordeal. His Middlesex regiment suffered much attrition in the battles that followed, especially amongst junior officers such as himself.

The main thing that gets me is that WW I should really have been labelled WW II. If you know the history, you will realize that the Seven Year's War was really the first global war fought between most of the major European powers.

If you watched the first 8 minutes you have pretty much watched it all.
No narration and very little printed info.

Main takeaway, the military has not changed much, hurry up and wait, they used a lot of horses and those tanks were really slow.
