It is not much more than what it was before the pandemic. Everything goes up in price every year.
There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB. The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed. There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

We'll likely see another dollar hike by the end of the year. Things are about to get really interesting.

Yeah, they go up every summer. The freeze down south in Feb, along with the pipeline shut down and the hurricanes last summer/early fall didn't help any stock piles or readiness either.

In most European countries more than HALF of the retail price you pay for gasoline consists of taxes. That is insane in my book. We just compensate. Remember most of our cars burn a third less here.

In most European countries more than HALF of the retail price you pay for gasoline consists of taxes. That is insane in my book. It's currently about 62% here. But that tax funds communal things incl. roads as well as being a nudge to keep use down. Similar with taxes on alcohol & tobacco. & we generally have better public transport systems overall (albeit Covid knocked use right back).
