I'm just very bad at landing the plane. did 2 career and died during landing both times.
WW1 planes were easier to land for me.
I'll probably get better at it over time.
Edit: Also, thank you for the answer.
Excellent tips from BladeMeister posted above, and should help you with your landings. Also, for a more unorthodox approach, once you practice more landings - recommended is to come in at 85% fuel mixture (no need for 100%), flaps down only to 1/4 or 1/2, no trim, and only Magneto 1 on (leave Magneto 2 off). Such a combination makes for manageable landings as well - but requires also that prop RPMs be set earlier, at full throttle (no WEP) - so that you are not pushing beyond 2600 RPM on the Spitties and Hurries, and no more than 2500 on the BF-109. If you are running my little FM tweaks package that approximates the Spitty and Hurri Mk.II, as well as the BF-109 E7 - tweak RPMs not to exceed 2700 on the first two, and 2600 on the 109 (always test RPMs at full military throttle, WEP disengaged). Such tweaks will allow you to land, depending on your glide slope, at anywhere from idle throttle to about 1/3 throttle - and will give you more of that stick-and-rudder feel that exudes confidence and style in your virtual cockpit.
Happy flying,
