Anybody else tried this? I wouldn't call it real time strategy but real time tactical battle. Some interesting total conversion mods on the Steam workshop too including Russian and Spanish Civil Wars.

Has quite a lot of depth and a steep learning curve - have a look through the manual which was uploaded in the public domain:

I have that game.....pretty decent, kind of similiar to Company of Heroes. If you can find it for a decent price go for it. I have no idea about any mods....

Thanks Wolverine. I got it on Steam for the princely sum of £3.99 UK pounds and of course all the mods are free. The RCW mod is all in Russian and the SCW all in Spanish but hey live and learn I'm pretty much a spectator currently just getting to grips with the controls and the manual...



BTW I noticed that should be Assault Squad 2 not Squad Assault 2 - eek!
