Hello,

I am new to this sim and was wondering, what of the engine management is simulated in WOTR?
I´m asking because i noticed in the 109, that with full power, with highest rpm, and even with WEP the right temperature gauge doesn´t move and shows always the same (90°), even over a long period of time.
The engine doesn´t seem to mind....Am i missing something or is this as it shouldt be?

I haven't been paying attention to the temp. gauges in WOTR - but engine management does affect reliability. For example, engaging WEP at very high alts., with standard engine HP already very low, may bust your engine (confirmed on the Spitties and Hurries - possibly similar outcome on the BF-109).

More info. there on prop. RPMs, fuel mixtures and whatnot. Hope it helps.

Usually when the engine becomes damaged the temps will start to climb, or if WEP is on too long etc.

Hi Pol, that particular post contains links to the WOFF and WOTR GPU Tuner patches, also the little FM tweaks package for WOTR, as well as containing links to two posts here on the WOTR SimHQ threads that give performance tips for the Spitty and Hurri. (I put all of the links there since it was more convenient than having everything across my DropBox folders - I'll post a short link to the WOTR-relevant stuff under the WOTR threads on CombatAce too - since it will be easier to find WOTR-related info. that way.)

Thanks a lot, Von S, quite a lot info in the link. Just what i was looking for but couldn´t find anywhere. It would be great to have some kind of manual with the individual infos for each plane, esp. for beginners.
