How patient of a person are you?

It's amazing to me at times that I have not played a full-fledged Pacific flight sim since the Pacific Fighters add-on for the original IL-2. I believe that came out around 2004?

Yet, often when the subject gets brought up, some will chime in with how there are lots of Pacific Flight sims, and we need to do more ETO or Russian Front sims because those do not get enough coverage . . .

Those people have no clue what they are talking about. If we are talking about official commercial releases then there have been exactly TWO Pacific combat flight sims released since 2000. IL-2 1946 and Combat Flight Simulator 2.
BEFORE the release of IL-2 in 2001 the Eastern Front was indeed ignored by developers.

Yup, it is out. Just keep in mind that you have to check the Marianas map under the module manager in order for it to download. It won't just download automatically.

I'm really tempted to finally buy some DCS planes/theaters with this dynamic campaign available...
I might have to test a high memory requirement campaign on the caucuses using the Black Shark to see how bad the frameright might suffer with only 16 gigs ram.

That sounds about right. My total DCS install on my PC right now is about 200 GB.

Yeah, because another road-map/rabbit hole/distraction for ED to disappear down whilst churning out more unfinished alpha/beta content that will never get finished is just what everyone needs!

And with this reality check, everybody's hopes and dreams are dashed, lol
