Nicely done film composition! I have seen much of it before but only in snippets.

Thanks for posting!

Looks like it might already be somewhat framerate corrected and stabilized. Would be nice to see clips like this get the full "They shall not grow old" treatment...

Thank you for sharing. I have wondered what his voice sounded like.

For the record, although many of us already know, but just in case, that plane wasn’t red, as the page states. There were/are debates about the engine cowl color, but the fabric areas of the machine clearly show the Fokker streaked camo.

Note MvR with Bird, and with Fokker at the Pup crash. We’re supposed to believe—as many still claim in books and especially on the internet—this was a man traumatized by his head injury, who was “in wretched spirits after every combat”, who after a sortie wanted to “go to his four walls...[and not] see anyone or hear anything.” Well, this film is after a sortie, and clearly MvR’s out carrying on, smiling, engaging, allowing himself to be filmed, etc., behavior that’s the opposite of what he wrote. Just part of the mountain of evidence I’ve researched that shows the reality was he *had* felt that way, as he had written in an undated document (which my research suggests was written late August) but by 3 September (date of Bird’s downing) MvR was well on the mend and in no way the mental wreck many claimed he was thereafter until KIA.

Great stuff, thanks for the link Ted. And thank you Jim for your insight and research as well, it's always good to see old misinformation being corrected.
