Hi all, 'Jerry' JerBear' has released two multi-skin packs. Both are large ZIP downloads: WOFF User Skins (700+ MB) - 290 skins. WOFF Alternative skins (200 + MB) - 81 skins.
The downloads are available in the 'User Mods Pages' (User Created Aircraft Skins Mods).
Thanks Sandbagger. The first one contains 290 new fighter and two-seater skins. No WOFF Skin Pack Skins are overwritten by any of these. The other Mod, Alternative Skins, has 81 fighter and two-seaters. Some are just personal skins that I thought someone else might enjoy using but most of them replace a WOFF Skin Pack skin. The reasons for these alternatives are given in detail in the ReadMe file, so look that over well. If you do not want some of these skins, please follow the information provided in the “Managing your skins” section of the ReadMe Files.
If you have any of my old UE/PE Mods I recommend you remove and or delete them. Many of these skins are improved versions of them. Not all of them have been replaced by this Mod but will be in the upcoming one.
The screenshots shown here are only a sampling. I have poste a few in SimHQ but the majority can be found in the COMBAT ACE forum to which everything is moving now. Detailed Explanations of the sources and rational used in making these skins can be found in the ReadMe Files for each Mod.
A very nice collection of skins Jerbear, must have gone a lot af time and work into it. What I like the most is the effort to make everything as historical accurate as possible. Thank you for this nice addition to this sim!
Sorry, haven't done and Entente skins Blade. But yeah, these should work in any version of WOFF, and thanks, hard work but fun.
Jerbear.
Ok TY for the answer. Please, Pretty Please, maybe sometime in the future consider doing a 94th Squadron Hat In The Ring Gang skins for maybe 6 different planes? Eddie would be so Honored if you did Sir.
JB helped me out with this one Trooper. I had forgotten that OBD used to have a skin pack on their WOFF home page, but since BH&H II now has all of these skins included, there is not a skin pack download on the home page anymore. When I did my fresh install on my new rig I just installed the game and the last patch for PE and away I went, so I was missing all of the addon skins. I found this skin pack on my old rig and have now copied it to my new rig and installed it. All is well. Thanks Trooper and JB for setting me straight with this matter.

Excuse me chaps. I too have the old Phase 4 skin packs on my HDD, can they be used alongside JB's skins, with BH&H ? If so how do I make them extract into JSGME rather than over the game? Many thanks.
Regards.

Fubar, I am running WOFF PE and you have to add the skin pack, but with BH&H II they are already included. As far as I understand it you can use the skin packs on Sandbaggers download page with JSGME and they will work with BH&H II. That is how I understand it, but hopefully someone else can confirm this for you.
The old skins packs are completely irrelevant for BHH2. As the Blade just said above the skins are included with the BHH2 download so you don't need em.
Did the first 94th Aero skin. This one is a personal skin for flying with the Hat in the Ring Gang. It will be in version 2.0 of the Alternative skin Mod. Nothing fancy, just a new number.
It is so refreshing to see new skins being made. I had just purchased both WOFF UE and PE just before BHAH 2 came out. RL keeping me from it, but been following the forums, and downloaded files for PE. Looking forward to eventually purchasing BHAH 2. Thank you all for creating more skins/mods for WOFF! It is great to see that all of us have the same common interest in the Great War aviation. Perhaps we can eventually have more planes/skins covering other lesser known theatres of war: Salonika, Gallipoli, Mesopotamia, S. Afrika, German colonies in the Pacific, etc. Thanks again for everything!
Coming next week. Among others, I worked on all four of the 1st Pursuit Squadrons, Jasta 64w and 65, which are in your area if you plan to continue to "Fly American."
Hi all, 'Jerry' JerBear' has released Version 2 of his multi-skin packs. Both are large ZIP downloads: WOFF User Skins (1, 102, 414 Kb - 284 skins. WOFF Alternative skins (236.545 Kb - 91 skins.
The downloads are available in the 'User Mods Pages' (User Created Aircraft Skins Mods).
This is Version 2.0 of User Skins. The download has 2 separate folders.
Pack 1 is the original mod with a few skins removed as irrelevant and a couple more added to make 284 sins.
Pack 2 is 147 new skins, including some for the American 1st Pursuit Group. Jastas 64w and 65 who opposed the Americans in the Toul area have some new skins, including a wingman skin for the Jasta 64w Pfalz which had been overlooked.
Alternate skins version 2.0 has some new skins, making 91 in the pack.
I am, again, posting some screenshots in the screenshot thread here and on Combat Ace.
Jerbear -- I'm going through the skins folder and comparing the names in the filename against the different country's aces.txt file contents to find misnamed files. Perhaps someone can confirm; but I think if the filename pilot name (first_last) does not match exactly the names in the aces.txt file, then they don't show up in the campaigns. Anyway, as I was going through, I realized that I had your user 1 and user 2 skin packs installed. As a result, I turned up some issues with your User Skins packs:
Misc Issues: Off_Alb_DIII_early_ace_t_Jasta 18 1917_Albrecht._Weinschenk.dds - includes an extra '.' There is a same named skin in the base game, so this might belong in the Alternatives Pack (with the extra . removed of course). Off_Alb_DIII_ace_t_Jasta 5 1917_Renatus_Theiller.bmp - this a bmp file not a dds
Here are the misnamed files: Off_Alb_DIII_early_ace_t_Jasta 20 1917_Erberhard_Voss -> Off_Alb_DIII_early_ace_t_Jasta 20 1917_Eberhard_Voss off_Alb_DIII_OAW_ace_t_Jasta 15 1917_Wilhalm_Kuhne -> off_Alb_DIII_OAW_ace_t_Jasta 15 1917_Wilhelm_Kuhne off_Fokker_DVII_OAW_ace_t_Jasta 29 1918_Siegrfried_Westphal -> off_Fokker_DVII_OAW_ace_t_Jasta 29 1918_Siegfried_Westphal
Finally, I can't find these names in any of the aces.txt files: off_Fokker_DVII_OAW_ace_t_Jasta 23 1918_Josef_Muller -- There are several Muller's (Max Ritter von; Hans Karl; Hans; Franz; Oskar; Otto; and Kurt) but no Josef off_Fokker_DVII_OAW_ace_t_Jasta 80b 1918_Karl_Romeis, off_Fokker_DVI_ace_t_Jasta 80b 1918_Karl_Romeis -- While there are many Karl's, I can find any with a last name even close to Romeis.
While I don't have your Alternative skins installed, I did a check of the MOD against the aces files. I can't find exact file name matches for the following skins: off_Alb_DV_later_Ace_t_Jasta 23 1917_Heinrich_Kullmer off_Alb_DV_later_Ace_t_Jasta 23 1917_Max von_Daniels off_Alb_DV_later_Ace_t_Jasta 26 1917_Casca_Langesleben off_DFW_CV_ace_t_FA(A) 293b 1917_Ludwig_Gaim off_Fokker_DVII_ace_t_Jasta 23 1918_Josef_Muller off_Pfalz_DIIIa_ace_t_Jasta 30 1917_Hans-Georg von der_Marwitz off_Alb_DV_later_Ace_t_Jasta 30 1917_Hans_Holthusen off_Pfalz_DIIIa_ace_t_Jasta 30 1917_Hans_Holthusen off_Pfalz_DIIIa_ace_t_Jasta 30 1918_Hans_Holthusen off_Pfalz_DIIIa_ace_t_Jasta 30 1917_Josef_Funk off_Pfalz_DIIIa_ace_t_Jasta 30 1918_Josef_Funk
Anyway, I thought I'd pass the information along and let you deal with it (or not) as you see fit for your skin mods. As for me, I'm off to look through the remaining mis-matches files to see what needs to be fixed there.
Some of that has already been corrected, and there were some skins that I was working on that got in the Mod by mistake (mistake meaning inattention). New version coming up in early August that will have corrections as well as new skins.
Hey I forgot to ever come back and say thank you JB. I am just getting settled into PE and my new setup. I have flown mission 3 in my 94 Squad Campaign and the skins look awesome Sir. Thanks for the work you did to complete the roster. I will be flying that Campaign fulltime to see where it goes from here starting tonight.
Hi all, 'Jerry' JerBear' has released Version 3 of his multi-skin packs. Both are large ZIP downloads: WOFF User Skins (1,534,038 Kb - 619 skins). WOFF Alternative skins (285,450 Kb - 124 skins).
The downloads are available in the 'User Mods Pages' (User Created Aircraft Skins Mods).
Sandbagger has hosted/posted version 3 of User skins and Alternatives.
Pack 3 has 193 new skins/all the older skins have had an image quality upgrade and some rework. Some misplaced skins were removed from Pack 1 to Alternatives or deleted. So now there are 279 in there and 149 in Pack 2 and 124 in Alternatives.
There are skins for Kest 1 and 3/some Fokker DVII {Alb) with five color wings and fuselages and t here are skins to fill in the BH&H2 gaps in Jastas 4/5/10 15 and 18. I made some early Pfalz DIII factory camouflage crates for Jasta 10 and put some in Kest One, just for Fun (poem).
Pictures are posted in the screenshots thread here and on Combat Ace Forum.
I found a minor issue with the new skins... the Jasta 20's look great, but this area needs to be corrected. It's the area that's mapped to the very from of the cockpit area and around the guns.
You can use Off_Alb_DIII_ace_t_Jasta 2 1917_Hermann_Frommherz and color blend the cowling to match the light blue cowling.
Not urgent, I'm sure I missed this area on a few of my skins as well.
Best,

I don't know which version of the Mod you have but these skins but in Version 3 have been moved to the Alternative Mod where they were intended to be. Somehow I got them in the wrong folder when I was getting ready to send version 2 to Sandbagger.
I saw that sometimes this area was covered and sometimes not but just left it alone because I hadn't figured out yet how to cover it. All these skins are a work in progress and I improve them and put them in the new version as I come up with a new technique. Always seems to be something that could be improved and always something I missed.
I covered the gun deck area/improved the shading of the number 5/ and fixed whatever that was on the left side of the tail skid. Something else I evidently missed. Also found a problem on the right side rudder cross, some sort of warpage maybe, and corrected that as well.
Yeah paint over the end of that too where the filler area is too. Not necessarily the cap itself, of course. Then go fly it and go into VC and check that area in front of windscreen is OK.
Okay....I think I got it. Not sure about the area in front of the windscreen unless it is the oblong depressed area, but I don;t see any problems in that area.
Thanks for the 3rd set of eyeballs. I learned a long time ago when I worked as a Dental Technician, you can never have too many eyes on your work.
I don't think I've said it yet -- great work on the latest skins packs.. I wish I had the time to learn gimp well enough to make some skins myself. At least to do some "simple" things like convert the RFC-1 se5a to se5a_vipers for 1918.
I ran your latest skins mods (both user and alternate) against my name matching spreadsheet. The result is that the following skins are the only ones that don't have a matching Aces entry: off_Fokker_DVII_OAW_ace_t_Jasta 23 1918_Josef_Muller.dds off_Fokker_DVII_OAW_ace_t_Jasta 80b 1918_Karl_Romeis.dds off_Fokker_DVI_ace_t_Jasta 80b 1918_Karl_Romeis.dds off_Fokker_DVII_OAW_ace_t_Jasta 4 1918_Wolfrlam Freiherr von_Richthofen.dds off_Alb_DV_later_Ace_t_Jasta 23 1917_Heinrich_Kullmer.dds off_Alb_DV_later_Ace_t_Jasta 26 1917_Casca_Langesleben.dds off_Fokker_DVII_ace_t_Jasta 23 1918_Josef_Muller.dds
Also the skin: Off_NieuportN28_94th 1918_Harvey Weir_Cook.dds is missing the '_ace_t_'
The only one that's an obvious misname is the extra 'l' in Wolfram Richthofen's first name. Just wanted to let you know.
Cheers

Wow, what a beauty, my friend. You have a talent. Keep up the same spirit. I also once made skins myself, but only for cs go. I was one of the skins developers, but then I decided to postpone this business because I opened my own business. And now, because of the pandemic, my business has been shut down, and I think now is the best time to return to drawing and trading skins. I used to look for people to trade skins, and now some sites allow you to change skins without communicating with people immediately, and so on. And I just came across this site skinsmonkey.com. Now I think that I will return to the business that I used to do.
Thanks for the kind words A. Sorry about your business, Covid has been a real #%&*$# to a lot of people, but maybe your loss is WOFF's gain.
As you have some real skinning cred. and experience, you might want to contact Polovski, the main Dev. One of the main skinning men, OvStachel, had to hang up his spurs because or problems with his hands. I think they are looking for some help in the skinning department from someone who knows what they are doing rather than an amateur like yours truly. I don't think he would mind being PM ed in this case.
