so i got it, and i'm utterly torn ... for the island, whilst its big, its mostly just updated A2 or A3 stuff, whilst there are new buildings (in particular the fortifications), there confined to only a few areas on the map, you can be in one area and it 100% feels like a good nam map ... then next area over .... its A3 Tanoa ... and the styles just clash horribly .... I cant fault the art work on the weapons, gear, vehicles though, just the questioning of choice ... like .. no m113s ... honestly ... the Unsung mod is better ... and in places this really does feel like someone used what they could from it, re-textured it, then sold it ... and for the 2nd most expensive DLC for arma3 ... it just feels like a money grab to be honest ... https://www.dropbox.com/s/fxhe693g1czt3x7/20210506181256_1.jpg?dl=0https://www.dropbox.com/s/wyag04j9okinf8q/20210506182135_1.jpg?dl=0https://www.dropbox.com/s/k9ejqdahprlef40/20210506182215_1.jpg?dl=0https://www.dropbox.com/s/7g73a6qy15634rc/20210506182407_1.jpg?dl=0and o yea .. it also changes your main menu and the entire colour scheme ....

I didn't get a full look at everything, but I agree that I would have liked a more custom buildings. For the size of the team, I think they could have done more. I mean, the GM team was significantly less people and managed to do almost everything custom, even the trees.
Having said that, we do not know the number of units that GM got bought. It could be that the developers came out negative from a profit/loss standpoint, by investing so much time with so little return. Many of the assets (the Altis and A2 buildings notwithstanding) are from the Pacific and could be part of the normal terrain. Also, when you look at the Vietnam assets in the editor, they're straight from Tanoa assets. Like bunkers and such. But there are also custom made bunkers too.
I have not played with many of the weapons, vehicles yet, but I would argue (from the screenshots) that the weapons and uniforms are in much better detail. You can correct me on that, of course.
At the discounted price of $20, it's probably worth it. We'll see. But today, 50 rounds of 9mm ammo costs about $30. I can so through 50 rounds of ammo in 10 minutes at the range. <shrugs>
Also, I read on the Unsung twitter that they will be making a version of the Unsung mod that is compatible with this DLC, so that should bring more assets.

Yes, we are working on Unsung Redux to bring a Prairie Fire compatible version of Unsung out. Currently there are still too many popup errors in the mod to be usable to anybody, but we're getting there.

There's a new update for Prairie Fire in testing now. It's not at the release stage yet, but they've posted a changelog. https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/t...-changelog/?tab=comments#comment-3445965There's a new map addition. Khe Sanh. Looks like prof upgraded his disk drive in time. This map was in the Unsung Vietnam freeware mod. It was kind of beta-ish. Hopefully it's more complete in this release.
