He means that there was no way to know beforehand that it was a hot round. Something, or someone, during its existence before he got possession of it, apparently caused it to be a considerably higher-than-standard pressure.

I love how he said he just concentrated on his kids while trying to stay conscious. He remembers being adamant about not pulling his thumb out, a VERY gutsy guy. I feel like a wimp just watching and listening.

The amazing thing is he did it without any Tofu. winkngrin

Pretty sure this guy is gonna need way more financial help than selling some T-shirts. Just the air-evac alone will bankrupt the average family.

I would, poor as I am, certainly contribute something to this awesome example of American spirit.
