Hello
I am a young pilot after training in Maubeuge. I ended up at KEK Nord.

A / Received, it's normal, worst machine. The only Fokker E III in the squadron. The best days are behind him ... In addition, they probably don't like me very much here - after taking off they disappear into the skies, not paying any attention to me. I can barely keep up - I have to cut the corners to get into formation.
It doesn't always help. I missed two fights. I am not fighting - I am not getting promoted - I have no chance of a newer plane.
So it has to be ?

B / Is my task, as a subordinate (!), To indicate to the squadron the second (no. 2) point of the route that we are patrolling (Shift + W)? After reaching it, should I indicate point 1 again? Any instruction?

C / Does a change in the location of points U, 1, 2 on the map (Intelligence Room) affect the course of the scenario (meetings of alien machines)?

D / What is the difference between Alternative Target and Optional Flight?

E / Does the amount of fuel / ammunition carried affect the weight / performance of the aircraft?

F / What does the Invinicible facilitation mean? It's scary to press ...

G / Same thing - 3 d Party?

H / Player Stats (pilot statistics?)

I / What are the flares taken on board the bomber for?

With air greetings

P.S.

I've heard a lot about WOFF. I have been playing for a short time.
I am surprised by the brilliant idea of coloring pictures of airplanes. You can see more precisely not only their construction. I did not expect that in this simple way you can bring the spirit of these machines closer.

Try leading all flights. They'll stay behind you in formation.

Welcome to BHaH2, Taal!

I don't know the answer to all of your questions, but I will try.

A) I believe you can change your aircraft assignment in the briefing screen, although you may need to be flight leader to get it to work.

B) The flight will automatically go to each waypoint. If you click Shift - W, the flight will immediately head to the next waypoint, perhaps leaving you even further behind.

C) No, I don't believe so.

D) Alternative target allows you to choose a different place to attack, optional flight let's you fly different flights, although they are mostly the same, in practice.

E) It is supposed to, but how much, I don't know.

F) Invincible simply means you can't be killed in combat. Handy if you are just flying around or practicing.

G) Third party mods. Some mods alter mission parameters or flights, etc. Choosing this option allows third party mods to do this.

H) This will either track all of your flights, including practice, or just campaign flights.

I) in real life, for signalling. In the game, I don't know if they work.

Let us know if you have any questions. Prost!

Welcome Taal! WOFF is quite an immersive an entertaining to fly. I personally love to read the history of the Aces as well as planes in addition to the flying. Very polished sim.

Hello, thank you all for the answer

I know that I can promote myself to a squadron commander. But is that the point? I might as well be armored-immortal (point F). Electronics can handle anything.

I purchased WOFF after reading a few reviews. This is what I was looking for.
I have played RoF before. This is a beautifully crafted flight simulation with stunning details (for example, the bombardier's sight in Gotha G V). I fondly remember ... But it is a network game –
p e o p l e are at the controls. Therefore, the AI of its fighter planes is quite simplified. Each fight comes down to a sharp circulation with a constant loss of height. Wild twists right above the trees, to the laaaaast drop of blood. Had the German airmen fought back, the Kaiser would have been waving an ax at Holland by the end of 1916.
Easy, meine Herren, it was already. Now it's time for WOFF.

During the last patrol, I wrote about it, I got lost ( point A ).
Four did not come back - three (!) collisions, one shot down ... by the Caudron G IV group. I'm alive.
Whom is written to tell it off!

With air greetings

Welcome,
A - you can click on Inventory/Workshops in Campaign screen. Then change your aircraft (or change other pilots, except the historical pilots) by clicking on the aircraft. (new feature of BH&H II)
(the first few times you use it, a message pops up and explains how you can change the aircraft).
B - if you are not leader they will go between the mission waypoints themselves if the directive is patrol between waypoints. Otherwise, as leader they follow you, the leader ...
C - Not really as AI missions are real, around the area. Every mission is different even if you were to re-fly it anyway.
D- As BuckeyeBob says pretty much the same thing these days.
E- Yes.
F- Rather defunct these days as you can also set your pilot to never die in Workshops, or in the Quick Combat or QS screen.
G- yes but you need the 3rd party mod for that of course.
H- as BB says, plus also shows summary of bullets fired etc.
I- yes for fun. You select the loadout, go fly, press Backspace to cycle, then drop with "return" key.

But with all these things, just try them.

Hi Taal!

It is a great sim for two-seater pilots - no other WWI sim gives the opportunity to fly such a rounded recon/bomber career, with the 'living' WWI environment around you. The Caudron is great, nice and stable like the BE2 but with better defensive armament for early war careers, and I love the way it rattles and coughs its way through the sky smile

G - as Polovski says, you need to put a Missions Type Mod in the Mission Types folder to make use of this (delete any placeholders that are already there). There are several on Sandbagger's site, and I have only tested my own with BH&H2 so I can't speak for the others. I am currently testing and updating my own mission types Mod, and so far it seems to work OK. Having a Mission Type Mod installed will give you more varied mission types, particularly for two-seaters - so with a bit of imagination your part you can fly not just Recon/Art.Obs./Bombing stock missions but Contact Patrols/Tactical Recon., Photo Recon., Long Recon., Spy Drops, Art. Obs., Flash Spotting, Bombing, Ground Attack, Escort, etc. and have more varied briefings. See the snapshot of the logbook for my current Caudron career:

Your mission mod sounds excellent B, looking forward to its release.

Hello everyone

Thanks again for clearing up these issues.

* As it turns out, the amount of fuel and ammunition taken has an impact on the performance of the aircraft. I thought so - why else reduce their number?
* For now, I am taking my first steps, so I will not use 3 d Party. There will be time for that. Thank you, however, for the hint - I admire the course of my career in a bomber that would seem slow, easy to intercept. And here please, almost a "Flying Fortress" !

Now it's time to ask questions:

A / If I am escorted by high cover fighters, do they always fly with me or only along the previously planned route?
B / Can the reconnaissance plane cover itself in the clouds from foreign fighters? (AI will see him?)
C / If the scout flies over heavily overcast terrain, the mission will be completed? Must return to this area in a few minutes or find a window in the cloud?
D / You can see red range circles on the pre-flight check-in map. Why two wheels? Optimum range and range at full engine revs?
E / Flares are a fun addition ... In RoF, flares were used to communicate between pilots - they had no radio on board. Could they at least be used to summon escort fighters when under attack by an enemy? Otherwise, you can only count on their good eyesight.

With air greetings
