I thought at first it was a Brinks type truck caring large amounts of cash. I was amazed to find out that they were carrying phones. A daylight, out in the open high speed road attack over phones?! That's insane.
The driver showed massive brass balls. His side kick didn't seem too fazed either.

That rifle isn't going to do them any good inside that armored vehicle. He should have gotten on the phone immediately and called either the police or his dispatcher, who then would have called the police. What they needed most right there was back-up.
SALUTE TO ALL!

I was thinking that too. Who knows, the police in that area might be connected to the bandits themselves. I was also thinking what the hell were the bandits thinking? Did they think they would just shoot at the truck and it would pull over? Did they think it would just crash on the side of the road and they could just pull up and unload the phones? It looked more like an assassination attempt then a robbery.

Yep, Africa... Whilst working out there in 2001, I was stopped on a road in the middle of nowhere whilst returning to Jo'berg by two uniformed black policemen... they wanted to fine me for speeding (which we weren't) and when I asked for paperwork to be produced for the receipt of the fine, one of them drew his pistol, shoved it in my face and shouted at me ''WHY DO YOU HATE SOUTH AFRICA''... I calmly told him I'd be happy to pay the fine and that I loved South Africa and then they smiled, took the money and left... just a normal day in South Africa! YIKES. I got more than enough of the "third world" experience when I went to Mexico in the late 90's.
