Three RFC Brass Hats were strolling down a street in London. Two walked into a bar, the third one ducked.

OvS, according to the records, the specific unit pictured did not get the chance to serve as Fokker Fodder. It arrived at St. Omer in early November, 1916 and was sent to 70 Squadron for testing. It suffered structural failure shortly thereafter and then bounced back and forth between the repair depots and 70 Squadron until mid-December, 1916 when it was crated up and sent back to Vickers Ltd. in England. While I have no proof, I've a hunch said crate was stenciled "P.O.S."
