Another one of the space program heroes has left us. His book, «Carrying the Fire» is my favourite astronaut memoir.
Not many still alive of those who rode the mighty Saturn V.

In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

Quite a few interviews and docs on YouTube with him and all are worth a look. I think, "In the shadow of the moon," has quite a bit of footage. Agree on "Carrying the Fire." Great book. My heroes.Grew up with their missions. Followed it all.
