...we finally got all the kids and grandkids together for a family fun day. Adults fully vaccinated, children fully enjoying themselves. I must admit, even at 66, I still feel the same way driving a convertible on a beautiful spring day.

Good show, Lou. Congrats on a long overdue get together on a perfect day. Looks like the girls have mapped the autopilot key.

So, your S10 is a hard top convertible? I am confused??? That sounds like a healthy covey(4) of grand-kids! Great pic, kids are so fun when they are that age and even more fun when your a grandparent. For instance, here you go, insert son's or daughter,s name, it has been fun but, here are your kids back, must be on my way, love ya!
Did the same thing last weekend... hopped onto my motorbike and rode 40 miles to see my grandkids, who I haven't seen for over 3 months. I was greeted by a very loud ''IT'S GRANDAD'' but had to shout back ''NO HUGGING'' as they raced towards me. Got round to see all three daughters and eight grandkids that weekend!

Epower, the auto-pilot feature on the girls' Jeep leaves a lot to be desired. I've had to manually override it on more than one occasion.
Good on you Trooper! Sounds like you had a great weekend as well.
Blade, I agree, being a grandparent is way more fun than being a parent! As for the convertible, that would be the 1963 MGB which, at the moment, is patiently waiting for me to restore it.

Great pics and great stories lads, it’s great how much seeing your children/grandchildren can give us a lift ..(Everytime I see my kids though my pocket gets hit)
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.

Agreed Adger, both about the lift such visits bring and about the loss of pocket money incurred.
Trooper, that is a sweet Bonneville. I have a 1975 Trident myself, all original in excellent condition, parked in the shop directly behind the MGB as a matter of fact. Love the Brit bikes - and sports cars. Probably because of the three years I spent in your wonderful country motoring about on and in them. Good times, good times.

Aww, thanks for sharing Lou, those two look very happy indeed. It's been a hell of a year, my girls were off school for so long. No matter how well you think you're home schooling them. You worry they're missing out on the interaction and on life itself, going out and meeting people.
Glad to see you managed a proper get together.
Nice car too, very iconic.
Great bike Trooper.
Adger, we've both just spent over 50 quid on the new WOFF, it's terribly hard saying no to the kids after that mate
"A great deal of an aeroplane could be holed without affecting its ability to fly. Wings and fuselage could be—and often were—pierced in 50 places, missing the occupants by inches (blissfully unaware of how close it had come until they returned to base). Then the sailmaker would carefully cover each hole with a square inch of Irish linen frayed at the edges and with a brushful of dope make our aircraft 'serviceable' again within an hour."

I'm very jealous. I have a couple of grand kids in Ontario, and the littlest just turned one – and I haven't even met him yet. Still can't travel there. The other two grandkids are in England and that is out of the question for a little while yet. Enjoy your family time!
