Thats what i tried for days before registering here, on Win10 i can get to main menu of EAW, but whether i use nglide or not, or any other graphical engine in the settings the game keeps always crashing at the beginning of starting the game/flight.
When i use Win98 i get that old 71 whatever error which was because of the gpu being to new for the game. I also tried every kind of compatibility settings in win 10. Every time i start the game with quick start or something it keeps crashing to desktop and closing the game..

Every time i start the game with quick start or something it keeps crashing to desktop and closing the game.. When you fly a single mission the data is stored, and will be used again for the parameters when you set-up a new single mission in the same plane. Quick missions also use these files. However, if you have a new set-up and these files have not been created, then choosing a quick mission (which would seem to be the most simple choice), may well result in a CTD.

Alright that seemed to be the problem, countless hours for nothing, thank you very much...
Would you suggest any newer/ other patches for this game to have more fun, which are not available anymore in this forum ?
Do you also have other tips for the other two games Panzer44 and Panzer Commander ? At one of these games i cannot even install it, because the setup was made for 8bit or something.

Try asking in the SimHQ Land & Armor Combat forums area or use google or duckduckgo or other search. And no offense but please ask other questions elsewhere - not in this 'Sticky thread'.. No need to apologise just an FYI. For other new people or questions, just a note about general internet forums etiquette: 'Sticky threads' or threads at the top of the forums, are places where useful general information for long term (often many years) viewing is usually posted.
Good forum etiquette is to Not post various questions, remarks, etc. there unless it is specifically marked to do so.
This is because random posts fill the thread and produce many pages. Since most forums split the long threads into pages the last page will usually be the one clicked on or seen by visitors looking for the latest information. If they only see some random posts, questions, remarks they usually miss the important information in the 'Sticky threads'. Which defeats the whole purpose.
Also its considered rude to just barge in and post your questions about another game.Now I would like to repost.. at least some of.. my valuable long-term information from page 6 of this 'Sticky thread' and hope it can stay here for some time: .. EAWonLinux is no more, I've packed up. here are my only final links for FsFOOT / RAF_Roy files; Good Times in EAW were fun but now they are over. Arrivederci! -------------------------------------------------------------------
