Download the 7-zip self-installer and run it in your UAW160 folder:

Jelly's gunsight manager

It allows you to select a gunsight and copy it with the correct name into your folder.
All of Papa Romeo's gunsights are in there, plus a few more.
There is a BMP picture of each gunsight, and you can launch EAW to test it

I remember reading about a bug where at certain display resolutions the gunsight images would flip.....has this been corrected in the eaw.exe?
I can't remember which res though, couldn't been to high as this was long ago....year 2000 its was noticed perhaps.....


PS can you cycle between two different sights while in game perhaps, instead of turning it off......??

The exe would have to be modified to allow gun-sight switching.
Do you think that there would be a serious demand for this?
I have my favourite gun-sights and have no reason to want to switch whilst I am in the game

I would add that a number of flight model folders contain a "Gsight.spt" file.
If you use the manager then your selected "Gsight.spt" file will be pasted in the root folder and used for all planes, instead of any in the FM folders.
If there is no "Gsight.spt" file in the root folder then the ones in the FM folders will be used. If there are none in a referenced folder then the default one in the "GameData" folder is used to avoid a CTD

Me again!! When I try to download the gunsite prg Media Fire won't download it as it detects a virus

You should all be made aware that one of the "revi" gunsights has a fatal flaw which will CTD when you enter the cockpit. If you try these out and run into unexplained CTD's, this may be the cause.

Chased my tail for about a week trying to figure it out, unfortunately I have advanced CRS syndrome (can't remember sh*t) so I don't recall which one it is.

If you can get it then it needs to be re-named as an .exe (not .ex_) so you can run it.

just tried downloading it on my laptop it seems to be fineYAY how weird is that

been away from the game for a bit when i loaded it i have no gunsite i am running the gun sight manager so reloaded it but no luck no gunsite in any mission type?

Is there a "Gsight.spt" in your folder. If so press Alt-G when you are flying.
This is a toggle key for screenshot taking which turns the gunsight off.
If not you did not use the manager correctly.
