This seems to be the best thing to do. Thread made, and now a pint and a singsong while the poor, harried ack-emmas - oops, I mean Devs - try to sort out the problem.

A most sound course of action Mortuus. I'll have a pint'a stout to get my baritone voice primed.

And Robert, I always find the right ditty. It's a gift I have.

When everyone said that the air war in BHaH2 got more deadly, they weren't kidding!

Following the FAQ by the letter.... all the way down to deleting the user app data per the description and so-forth...

This morning, I did a detailed uninstallation and a clean re-installation of WOFF BH&H2 for unrelated key-binding holdovers from the previous install.

After seeing this thread, I realized I was in a perfect position attempt observation the same issue described above with the Hannover damaging itself with the forward MG.

I report that firing the forward machine gun did indeed damage my aircraft as well during a mission in QC.

Further notes: I flew only one mission in QC. Not every burst, regardless of duration, damaged my Hannover. It appeared to be intermittent in nature.

It may be that the same types of AI aircraft will experience the same problem when they fire their forward guns.

I have not yet tested the other aircraft above listed by Hermani.

I hope these aircraft are fixed very soon.

That’s a good point regarding the AI aircraft Lehman I never thought of that.

Hi Pol,
I am flying in BH&H II , main gun accuracy is set to less accurate and players gun set to normal.
Hope this helps you some bit further. I tested some other allied planes but I havent found any other aircraft with this problem yet.

Just out of interest I thought I'd try the Hannover, DFW and Fokker EIV in a vanilla install of BHAH II without either of the two patches in case one of the patches had thrown things out.

All three damaged themselves when the front guns were fired.

I tried the Rumpler and the Roland and really threw them around the sky firing and they were ok.

So it appears to be specific aircraft and on the basic sim, not patches.

"A great deal of an aeroplane could be holed without affecting its ability to fly. Wings and fuselage could be—and often were—pierced in 50 places, missing the occupants by inches (blissfully unaware of how close it had come until they returned to base). Then the sailmaker would carefully cover each hole with a square inch of Irish linen frayed at the edges and with a brushful of dope make our aircraft 'serviceable' again within an hour."
