Hi everyone, today i took the hannover for a little test flight in quick combat. When i used the forward machine gun it registered bullet hits on my own aircraft.
After a couple of firing turns it even disabled my plane so it went out of control. Anyone else who has experienced something like this?
I tested some other aircraft and the Nieuport 27 had also some occasional hits on my own plane but not as bad as the Hannover. With other aircraft i already flew I didnt have any of this.
Of course I did not yet try each of the 80 flyables.
Thank you for any input on this.

Any mods on ?

Any mods used and removed later ?

Sry to say but a clean install usually clears this up

make mistakes and learn from them

I am flying BH&H2 with the latest patch installed. I did not use any mods yet.Would be weird that my install is already corrupted on this short time.
But you never know , I haven’t started a serious campaign yet so I might give it a try .

Maybe some BH&H 2 user can be so kind and do a quick flight with the Hannover to test if this problem only occurs with my install? Thx

I don’t think your install is knackered. I had a go in the Eindecker E.IV the other day and experienced the same thing. Thought of Immelmann, but now I see it’s not historical accuracy after all.

Perhaps this is a new type of random mechanical failure the devs have added in BH&HII, like the engine failures? If so, I am looking forward to when I'm able to pick up the new expansion and experience the perils of the 'Syncopated Fire Control' for myself! This certainly puts another complexion on my plan to start with a DH2 squadron - without a synchronised machinegun to potentially fail, I simply wouldn't be getting my full money's worth out of the new software! wink

Thank you ArisFuser, I will try to look for what went wrong with my install.

It does damage the wings on stock without MODS. But it's at certain angles of the rear gun. When you point at your wings, you have to move it around and just at right spot to damage your wings.
Edit: Haha... senile moment. I didn't read it right. I tested the rear gun instead of the forward one.

I just did a QC and fired ..showed heavy damage 4d to repair ?? so something does seem off imo ..Maybe some other flyers could do a test it'd take 5-10 mins tops

Edit sorry if i misunderstand Orbxp ..its the forward firing gun (haven't tested rear gunner)

I suppose every machine would have to be tested mate to determine that. I've tested the E.IV just and it didn't show any damage but the Hannover for me did thumbsup

This time I tested the forward gun in the Hannover and got no damage when firing forward gun while engine stopped sitting on field or flying in air.

Hm so there is something strange going on after all. If I find the time I will test some other aircraft. I did try the Rumpler already for example and that forward machine gun fired without any problem for me.

Sounds like we need the Devs on this one. Jinking around or heavy banking may be having an effect on bullet trajectory, but that's out of my league. Just throw grenades for now!

Thx for helping out Adger. Maybe a dev can help us out and tell if this is intentional or what is going on 😉👍
