Feeling achy and lethargic. Received shot #2 around noon yesterday with wife and parents (drive-thru, we stayed in car), and I think we're all feeling the same blah today. No problem yesterday evening at the track (mix of walking/jogging) so I thought it'd be like the first one. Nah, it just took time for this one to start sucking.

It's past lunch time and I'm not even hungry.

FWIW: My sister had that reaction for her second shot. She's fine now. My wife and I had no reactions.

It seems to vary significantly. I just got my first Moderna shot yesterday, and I was fine until last night and then my arm started really hurting, and it still hurts. So far no other real symptoms though.

Pfizer. No affect from either of the two shots.

I get my first Pfizer shot tomorrow. I'm a bit concerned. I was putting off my vaccine shot because I had surgery scheduled for last week. It was cancelled because the hospitals around here have stopped doing surgeries because they are at capacity with Covid patients. Their surgical recovery floor is full of Covid patients. My surgeon told me to go ahead and get vaccine, because it's going to be while before it gets better.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.

There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

I'm not eligible yet. I will get the Pfizer one when I can. My wife and sister have both had the first shot. Both are in healthcare. No side effects.

For now, who knows if they'll be some huge surge in cancer or some other serious side effects down the line?

What is selfish is not my attitude.

Sleep is the answer. Sweet, deep sleep, helped by the lulling thunder and rain. sleepy

Still really tired but not so ache. Warmed-over loaded homemade cabbage/sausage soup for dinner (we were prepared) while I post this, then back to "never never-land" (Enter Sandman - Metallica).

Man...I miss that cabbage sausage soup!

Corn soup, made the down the bayou way I really miss. They'd kinda consider cabbage a yankee vegetable. yep

I asked a friend; former boss, and born on the bayou, lifelong down the bayou coonass(Cajun for those that don't know), who was worth MILLIONS, and drove a ten year old pickup, where the Mason Dixon line was in Louisiana?

He looked at me like I was an idiot and said, "the Intercoastal (waterway) of course!" We were like ten miles south of it.

I laughed and said, "Heck, I am from EAST of the Intercoastal (true), figure that one out!"

I think they liked that. "They" made me an honorary coonass, and am still proud of it.

Lol, Nixer! biggrin

My sister lives in Morgan City with her husband of over 40 years (he's never lived anywhere else and his last name ends in "eaux"...automatic registered coonass). Years go in Atlanta at a Cracker Barrel, he's looking over the menu and declares, "I can't eat this yankee food!" Lol. Really good guy though (and much fun on a family cruise), but funny sometimes.

EDIT: Feeling perfect now, 6AM and ready to start my day.
