Rgr That Andy and thx for the quick response.
I have lived in Columbus all my life. The base here used to be a SAC base in the 60's then converted to a training base for "Tweets"and 38's. Of course you would know that. I have had the good fortune of seeing the Thunderbirds here in F4's, 38's and F-16's over the years. My Mother in Law works( just retired actually) in civil service at the base and has been able to get me some 37 sim time there with an IP. According to him I did pretty good. I didn't crash and was able to land. I was surprised as to the amount of phyical effort it took to fly that simulator. Like driving a truck without power steering. The IP told me the simulator was harder to fly than the real bird. Of course there are no G's and death. LOL! I struggled and was pretty sloppy. I have to say that my flight sim experience helped me for sure although I thought I was gonna do better than I did. S!
