Hey, I actually enjoyed "Prince of Thieves" immensely. The camp was real, but the movie was fun and it had swords and slayings with a big budget. Mel Brooks' later film "Men in Tights" was also lots of fun...
I do like Kevin Costner, regardless of his inability to bust an accent.
Allan Rickman and Morgan Freeman were a lot of fun to watch but that's ALL I liked from that movie. Kevin Costner was simply miscast in my opinion.
The 1938 Errol Flynn version is still by and far the best.
Plus the TV series Praed/young Connery was pretty good from my recollection, though I can't say I've rewatched it recently, and it had some weird bits.
Watched the first few episodes of Kingdom on Netlix. Takes place long ago in Korea, a king might be dead, and the queen and court are certainly covering something up. People start disappearing, bodies start turning up and the Prince and his bodyguard try to investigate what's going on. Oh, and zombies may be a thing. It's as bit crazy, but is better than the average zombie show/movie. I think the setting helps to set it apart some.
Here's the trailer

Ok so basically a suspense/horror story set in a fictional ancient China.
Edit: I watched the trailer again and I realized that is Korean being spoken, not Chinese. So the setting is probably around 16th century Korea judging by the costumes.

Turns out it is Korea, the Joseon period 1392 to 1897. I believe this show takes place around 1600, give or take some. Somebody with more knowledge in Korean history could probably give a much more accurate time period to when the show takes place.
It's one of Ford's "forgotten" films along with "Frantic", "Regarding Henry" and "Random Hearts".

As long as you don't have to worry about finding a job then you're good to go.

I was surprised to see Hugo Weaving was in it! This was well before he became famous as Agent Smith and then of course as Elrond.
