Now hopefully he doesn't get reincarnated as a deadly virus. Considering the type of humor that Prince Phillip was known for, he would have laughed quite a bit at your comment!

RIP Prince Phillip. 99 years is indeed a good run, and a life full of service and achievement.

Prince Phillip does have a sly look on his face.
That funny looking Admiral second from the right is looking at him pretty specifically.
Good people sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.
Someday your life will flash in front of your eyes. Make sure it is worth watching.

That is his daughter, Princess Anne. Charles is to the right and Andrew is the other.

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB. The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed. There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

RIP of course. Having said that, never been much impressed by the royals, besides the Queen, just maybe. The stank of parasitic lifestyle has settled in ages ago.

I recall him visiting a new factory in the New Town* where my father worked during an official engagement he and the Queen undertook in 1957. My father and colleagues appreciated that to the consternation of the Directors, acolytes and accompanying sycophants, the Duke leapt the specially-prepared tug conveying him around the specially prepared route, to chat to the ordinary workers there for some time, upsetting the carefully prepared schedule.
Though I am no fan of Royalty, I respect his wartime service, and the many innovations, services and betterment schemes he initiated during his long term as Consort.
*New Towns were exactly that, new conurbations built in the early 1950s surrounding London on green-field sites to house those displaced by bombing and post war slum clearance.
