Impressive... simply impressive!!

Just took a few crates and skins up for a look against the new scenery... that's what I love about this sim... everything color matches and looks like it belongs together! The new flight models, and all the working parts are a welcomed joy to the overall atmosphere! Love it!!

Just flew my first sortie in the rain in BHaH II. Having flown open cockpit ultralights, and having been caught in a sudden summer rain shower when flying one, I can honestly say that OBD has gotten closer with this than any other flight sim I've experienced. The size of the rain drops, the misty quality, and the drops on the goggles, along with the sound, it's all right there. Outstanding!

Some brilliant pictures already on here. Here's some from me. As well as my DID campaign in the Albatros, i've got a Jasta 3 one going on flying the Halberstadt.

Attached Files A6.jpg1.jpg2.jpg3.jpg

"A great deal of an aeroplane could be holed without affecting its ability to fly. Wings and fuselage could be—and often were—pierced in 50 places, missing the occupants by inches (blissfully unaware of how close it had come until they returned to base). Then the sailmaker would carefully cover each hole with a square inch of Irish linen frayed at the edges and with a brushful of dope make our aircraft 'serviceable' again within an hour."

Just had a new engine installed, apparently the H-S 8B engines for our new S.E.5's made by the French chappies are hard to come by... a quick flight test around the local area is called for!

Popped into St-Pol and met some of the Naval chaps, they seem to think it was a good idea for me to take up one of their Tripehounds.
What a nimble and sporty little beast it is too!

On the way back to their drome I saw a train near the coast and chased it along for awhile... a nice end to an enjoyable flight.

Haha, thanks... sorry mate, didn't mean to torment you biggrin
Yes, the Tripe is great fun. Have to be careful you don't overstress the old girl as it's easy to loose a wing.

Trooper117, that is a great illustration of how deadly fences can be to WW1 aircraft.
