I've developed a style of fighting that seems to work extremely well for me, but I'm wondering if either it was already invented, and if it is even realistic or not.

The style in which I fight is to close head on with my opponent, and angle to the right of them. When I get to the "magical" distance, I bank left in front of their line of fire (Too far to be shot though) and start climbing like the devil, as well as circling to the left, overtop of them. Of course they come up and start turning back after me. But basically what ends up happening is they are trying so hard to keep their sights on me, turning hard and climbing and going inverted, that they run out of energy. And that of course is the end for them. But is this realistic? It seems to work against many planes that are much more maneuverable and powerful than mine.

This move just one of the things that I do, but many of my moves are based on loops and circles and deceiving bank turns. Were these types of "Bait and lure" tactics used in real life?

Is this realistic behavior? Any improvements you can think of?

PS.. Always good idea to get the opponent to fight on our terms by leading him around and not visa versa.

Sounds a bit like what the Me110s did in BoB. They would also do a head on, climb to convert speed to height, when being slow turn fairly tight and attack the other plane again. This uses the 110s advantage (good armament) and works around the disadvantage (bad manouvrability).

Longbow this sounds like classic EAW in the zone days. (sounds like an immelman your move)

usually in a 1v1 they would spawn head to head, Newcomers would turn after the first pass or dive whereas more experienced players would go for the Immelman and come down hard on the unsuspecting turning opponnent.

As others have said if it works dont fix it but dont expect this to work everytime, sombody who knows how to fly too will know about zooming and booming too/energy management. Having only one manouver in you reportoir will result in you having the disadvantage.

Not quite an immelman, as you hang around above them doing cirlces around them at just above stall speed.. An immelman is just pulling back on the stick and rolling over at the top.
